The history of the enterprise began with the opening of the first military uniform factory in March 1919, which switched to mass production of civilian clothing in February 1922
and became known as "Homode". In April 1928, the factory was named "Comintern".
In 1964, it was transformed into the Gomel Production Sewing Association "Komintern" (GPSHO "Komintern").
In the process of formation at the factory, the organizational structure was revised, equipment of imported production of the companies "Pfaff", "Strobel", "Singer" (Germany) was purchased;
AMFREECE (Czechia); Juki, Brisay (Japan); Rimoldi, Macpi (Italy); Eastman (USA) — advanced technologies were introduced. As a result, Gomel garment association Comintern became the only specialized enterprise
in the republic for the production of men's classic suits.
In 1993, GPShO "Comintern" was transformed into OJSC "Comintern" through corporatization. The process of corporatization was completed in 1995.
Active re-equipment and technological renewal of production are constantly underway. Modern machines and equipment have been introduced to automate production as much as possible and improve product quality
Since 2006, the companys assortment development policy has been revised, which made it possible to define clear target segments and a positioning strategy. As a result, since 2007 the CITY LIFE youth suit collection has been launched, since 2009 the VALEROSSO premium classic suit line, and in 2010 the MAN WAY business classic suit collection.
Collections are updated annually by more than 60% in accordance with consumer requirements and fashion trends.
In 2014, the company celebrated its 95th anniversary.
By 2016, 14 branded stores operate in Belarus.
In 2018, the company mastered the tailoring of men's coats and jackets.
In 2019, Comintern celebrated its 100th anniversary.
In 2021, it became a landmark for the enterprise.
Held in the tailoring of men's clothing, OJSC "Comintern" expands its horizons and enters the territory of women's style.
The first collection of women's clothing Autumn-Winter 2021/22 consisted of several capsules and a "base", which are elegantly mixed and interchangeable.
